Defeating Obama

Even though it has been awhile since I wrote, it is necessary to write a post on the state  of politics in this country.   With the field of candidates to replace Obama (and they will), it seems the right time to state my views on the race to re-take the White House.

According to has  report in Yahoo News, the RNC stated that nobody is to be mean to Obama.  The only problem is that we should be mean to Obama because his policies are what has gotten this country in trouble.
Gingrich is the only candidate that has the guts to attack Obama,  this is the only way that we can insure the he is defeated and the country can heal and recover.

Another thing is the speech that Obama gave today in Kansas was reminiscent of the one that Teddy Roosevelt gave over 100 years ago.  He even tried to pull the same tactics that were used in 2008.  this cannot work with us now because we are smarter and well informed to combat the tactics of the liberals  We have to be strong and defend our way of life and resist.  In going against what the Borg kept saying in Star Trek, "Resistance Is Not Futile"

Ask Not????

Just think, 50 years ago today President John F Kennedy was  inaugurated .  His speech had the famous line of "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country".  Grand ideals for the sixties.  We were coming out of the Korean Conflict and the beginning of Vietnam.  President Kennedy felt that the country could be better served by the population performing national service, ala The CCC's of the Roosevelt era.   But in  recent times, it has come up that the reverse is now the opposite.  In a recent poll, 71% of respondents state that they want more from their country.  In today's consumer society, more of the country is interested in getting  something without giving back.  We must now realize that giving back to our nation, in whatever way, should be of major importance.  In the "nanny" state of the current administration, we must also be responsible for the growth of the nation and it's growth as a nation with pride.  This has to be done with a care that improves with age of it's population.  We must respond  with  dilligence for all people.

New Year, Same Problems

So much has happened in the past few months.  From Christmas, through New Years, with the debacle of the so-called "lame duck"  congress, to the senseless shooting of Rep Giffords in Tuscon, it's been a crazy past few months.  Now it comes out that Sarah Palin had something to do with the shooting in AZ.  This is out and out crazy.  It is a priority ploy for the left to blame a right-winger for the problems.  As it was put by Glenn Beck, there should be nothing associated with the right wing for the problems of a deranged lunatic, who took it upon himself to destroy not only a congresswoman, but 6 people, including a Federal Judge and a 9 yearold, who was born on 9/11.  I'm sure that the saying, "Only in America", may apply, but this is really out of hand.  We must resist the idiots that are in the liberal media in their efforts to slander others.  Only the constant vigil of real Americans can enable those whose agendas are to destroy the will of hard working people around the nation.  And as we continue this vigil, may we ever be on the lookout for those who also seek and destroy our way of life.
Well, that's the way I see it....And as always...THAT'S ONE GUYS RANT, WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Thanksgiving Week Rant

Well people, here it is the week of Thanksgiving.  Sometimes I wonder about what others really think about this holiday.  Is it really about turkey, football and shopping , or is it more?  I really think that Thanksgiving gets overdramatized.  It may be a lead in to the Christmas season ( more on that later), but it should be a major reflection of what is really meant by Thanksgiving.   In school, we were taught that it was about the Pilgrims and their first meal with the Indians of the area.  Later on that was expanded to be a case study of colonization of the continent.  After getting out of school and having kids, it turned into the search for the best buy for kids' gifts.  Now, an argument can be made for the case of the day is now about being thankful for safety of family and friends.  In a world of terrorism and all kind of crazies, it can't be too difficult to understand  .My reasoning is that this world is terrible and as explained  in the Revelation, we are going through the birth pains of the rapture and the arrival of the Anti-Christ.  I feel that we should thank our men and women  in the military that keep us safe and sound.  Let's really think about this as we eat turkey, watch football and prepare to shop at O-Dark -Thirty ( That's really early for you non-military types).  And maybe we can be thankful for a lot more.

THe Rant continues

Well, here I go again.  Let's see what is inside this warped head of mine this week...

1.  The Panthers played like normal, which means the lost.  Too many injuries and not enough experience...Fox got shafted by management and he's the scapegoat...13 days till they com to the Dog Pound...Now, where did I put that bone to beat on the ottoman next to the wife???

2.  Speaking of the Browns, they played their hearts out and should have won the game...I still say they've got 3 more wins in them and that would be a great for the club.

3.  In the Denver/KC game, I thought that it was "bush" for the KC coach not shaking the hand of the Denver coach because he thought the Broncos were running up the score on them...ONE PHRASE- DEAL WITH IT!!!..You're playing "big boy" football..act like it.

4.  Speaking of high scoring games...Wisconsin let IU have it on Saturday...That may be running it up, but consider who they were playing.

5.  The South Carolina Gamecocks finally won the SEC East... I  guess "The Old Ball Coach" finally got what he wanted in the 'Cocks that he had in the Gators.

6.  Finally, for Thursday was Veterans Day, As a veteran, I want to thank all of you for thinking of all my brothers-in-arms and the sacrifices that they have made... but do me a favor, let's not just do this one day a year...Make it a daily event as this world gets that much crazier...

Sports Time Rant

Since it is Monday, and after NFL and college football it is time to give my  slightly, whacked-out, view on what is going on.  So, here goes:

1.  The Raiders and Chiefs:  Just like old times, a serious knock down fight ending in an overtime game...Great Football

2.  The Pussycats, sorry the Panthers...just fire the whole coaching staff and start over...with  all the injuriesand such, it's time to start over now.

3.  Speaking of starting over, The Cowgirls, sorry again, the Cowboys, finally got it right and fired Wade Phillips and put Jason Garrett in charge...don't worry Cowboy fans, you can still avoid being a sub-500team by winning all that's left...NOT!!!

4. Finally My Browns  won...They beat Tom terrific and the Patriots senseless I know that the Broncos are kicking their collective rears for letting Peyton Hillis go in that trade for Brady Quinn....Their loss is our gain

Well, that is all I have to say, and that's one guys rant...What do ya Think????

The Beginning

This is a start of what I hope to be many rants..I'm a simple guy who has seen a lot and will see a lot more over the years.  After the election on Tuesday, it is evident that the country is heading to the right and the Democrats or the RINO's (Republican In Name Only) don't get it.  I just hope that the incoming leadership in the House get and pester The Prez.  This can be the start of the new way to do things in the capitol.  Who knows, this could really be an interesting process.  That's one guys rant, What do ya think?
